


It was written like a thriller, which made it really engrossing. Preston now arrives at one of the most important, powerful, and disturbing passages within the narrative, asserting that human destruction of the environment has directly produced deadly hot viruses such as HIV and Ebolaand implying that perhaps the Earth would be a better place if such a virus were to severely deplete the human race. This book was extremely disturbing to read, although it kept me glued to my seat and I learned a lot of stuff. Like, imagine if we had an Ebola pandemic instead.

It contains some of the grossest passages I’ve had the misfortune to read and makes me, well, very grateful that coronavirus was so comparatively mild of a virus to cause a pandemic.
